OTA’s (Organized Team Activities) are underway at Paul Brown
Stadium. I would expect the Bengals to look a little different this season
considering they have a new offensive and a new defensive coordinator. I
believe I speak for many Bengals fans when I say that I am excited to see what
the new offensive coordinator Hue Jackson has in mind for Andy, A.J. and the
gang. Last season’s dismal first round playoff loss to the San Diego Chargers
proved there were several flaws in the offense. One of the most disappointing
parts of the game for me was the extremely conservative play calling by
offensive coordinator Jay Gruden. Quarterback Andy Dalton was definitely not on
his game, but with all the options he has in the receiving core AND for the
fact that the Bengals had not (and still have not) won a playoff game since 1990,
it was NOT the time to call conservative plays.
I am excited to keep up with Hue Jackson’s style, as well
as, the new defensive coordinator Paul Guenther’s style. Guenther has big shoes
to fill with taking the place of fan favorite Mike Zimmer (now the head coach
for the Minnesota Vikings). I will be posing updates and more in the days to
come leading up to TRAINING CAMP (starts at the end of July)…WHO DEY!!!
99 DAYS UNTIL THE REGULAR SEASON OF THE NFL BEGINS!!!
